Loch Herron - a mile from Balloch O Dee
Obviously the Trekking Centre is a big attarction for the campsite
but if you fancy doing something else on your stay then you couldn't be in a better place!
Surrounded by beautiful Lochs, full of exquisite trout and Coarse fish and encircled by magnificent Salmon rivers; and wonderful coast line, Balloch O' Dee is a fantastic base if your a fishing fan.
We last saw a car down this way in 1957! so if you are looking for somewhere that has miles of perfect tracks for mountain biking through some of the most un-spoilt landscape in the country then there is no finer place.

Just a few miles away is the Galloway National Forest Park which is one of only four sites in the world that has been granted 'Dark sky Status' Due to its zero light pollution. There is no better place to see the spectacular night skies than Balloch O' Dee.
